Get to know Dr. Stewart:
What sets you apart?
I truly enjoy taking the time to connect with my patients on a personal level to help better understand their goals in terms of their oral health. I am also a native of the Charlotte area and grew up in a small town (Stanley, NC). Although working in Charlotte, I like to try my best to bring a small-town, family style approach to my conversations and relationships with patients to make them feel comfortable and heard. I am comfortable in areas of oral surgery, cosmetic restorations and crowns, root canals, and orthodontics (Invisalign) to meet my patients needs.
Where can we find you around town?
Royal Bliss brewery in Denver NC – open air, outside atmosphere, live music, great beer. Webb Custom Kitchen in Gastonia NC for a nice steak dinner. I also love pizza of any kind!
Where can we find you on the weekend?
I love getting out for a round of golf when I am free and the weather is nice. My wife and I live very close to the Whitewater center so we love to go there for a hike, to walk around, have lunch or grab a beer on the weekends. I also enjoy going to the gym throughout the week as a stress relief. I also love ending my day watching a show at home.
Do you have any pets?
Beau – a 6 year old yellow lab
Do you love to travel?
I would love to visit all 50 US states at some point. I have not traveled nearly as much as I would like, but do enjoy visiting Boston (I’m a big Red Sox fan), Charleston SC, Savannah GA, and recently Denver Colorado. My family also has a beach house in Oak Island NC so we spend a good amount of time there each year.
Who inspired your career path the most?
My grandmother pushed me from a very young age to be a healthcare provider since she worked in her career as a nurse practitioner. I was positively influenced by several dental providers in my life that helped increase my own self confidence and realize the great personal value that dentistry can bring to people.
