Dr. Mark Tripp
In 1997, Dr. Tripp completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery, also from the University of Western Ontario. He came to Charlotte, NC following dental school for a two-year General Practice Residency training program at Carolinas Medical Center.
Dr. Tripp provides comprehensive services of general and cosmetic dentistry including root canal therapy, oral surgery, crowns/bridges, implants, porcelain veneers, Invisalign®, and aesthetic composite fillings. His current memberships include the Charlotte Dental Society, North Carolina Dental Society, and American Dental Association.
LandMark Dentistry participates in significant continuing education every year in all aspects of the field of dentistry including the latest trends in insurance management and periodontal standards of care. Dr. Tripp also attends local and national meetings for lectures and seminars on the latest techniques and technologies in the field of dentistry.
By maintaining a current knowledge of cutting-edge treatments and research, Dr. Tripp is able to offer his patients the most educated and evidenced-based diagnoses, as well as treatment options to help them maintain optimal overall and oral health.
Dr. Tripp and the LandMark Dentistry team have provided volunteer services to the Women and Children’s Shelter of Charlotte since 2011 to provide oral healthcare for those in need. Community outreach is an important aspect to our profession as we are supported professionally by the members of our community and Dr. Tripp feels it is necessary to return that to the community in the form of volunteer work.
Dr. Andre Brun
Billingsley Office, Matthews Office
Dr. Brun is a member of the American Dental Association and the North Carolina Dental Society. He participates in a wide variety of continuing education programs throughout the year.
Originally from New Brunswick, Canada, Dr. Brun has lived in Charlotte for the past ten years. For relaxation, Dr. Brun and his wife Chantal enjoy outdoor activities such as golf, tennis, and hiking. They also enjoy exercising at the YMCA and traveling.
Dr. Brun understands the importance of helping out in the community. In the past, he has volunteered for the North Carolina Missions of Mercy, which is a free dental clinic organized by the NC Dental Society. He also works with the local women’s shelter, volunteering for their quarterly dental van. Dr. Brun greatly enjoyed his time spent helping build houses with Habitat for Humanity and looks forward to other projects in the future.
Dr. Jennifer Slaughter
Dr. Slaughter was married in March 2011. She and her husband Seth have two daughters named Addison and Dottie. They are both avid dog lovers; they share their home with their Boxer, Cinder, and Boston Terriers, Gabe and Tate. Dr. Slaughter is an avid reader and loves photography. She remains proudly active in Forest Hill Church and greatly enjoys doing volunteer work as a means to give back to her community.
Professionally, Dr. Slaughter is an active member of the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Society, and the Charlotte Dental Society.
Dr. Slaughter is thrilled to be a part of the LandMark Dentistry team and to have the opportunity to provide your dental healthcare. She especially enjoys treating children and giving them a good first impression of the dentist. She derives great joy from working with people and helping them achieve their dental goals.
Dr. Armen Balasanyan
Billingsley Office, Matthews Office
Dr. Balasanyan is a member of the American Dental Association and the North Carolina Dental Society. He is very passionate about incorporating new technology and innovative techniques into our practice. He is proficient at and enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, including restorative crown and bridge therapy, dental implants, oral surgery, denture therapy, root canal therapy, cosmetic dentistry, and composite/cosmetic fillings.
Dr. Balasanyan and his wife Arfine have two children, Isabelle and Tigran, and are proud to call Charlotte home. They enjoy traveling, hiking, and spending time with family.
Since 2011, Dr. Balasanyan has provided dental care as a volunteer for the Charlotte Women’s Shelters. He enjoys the challenges that dentistry provides each day, and the rewards of meeting those challenges with leadership, responsibility, and accountability.
Dr. Anait Balasanyan

Dentistry combines all aspects that Dr. Anait is passionate about: innovation, healthcare, patient education and helping people maintain and improve their oral health, quality of life and appearance. She is an active learner and continually participates in educational seminars to keep up with dynamic field of dentistry.
Dr. Anait is passionate about volunteer work and has been an active volunteer sharing her professional dental services at various organizations such as Indiana Mission of Mercy, Charlotte Women’s Shelter and Student Outreach Clinic in Indianapolis.
In her spare time Dr. Anait enjoys symphony, theater, live music, reading, traveling and outdoors. She is also an active runner and has completed four half-marathons in Indianapolis, Chicago and New York City.
Dr. J.O. Clark
In 1977, Dr. Clark joined CPCC as the head of the Dental Programs full-time. After leaving CPCC in 1982, he then moved into the Mint Hill area to open his private practice where he worked for the next 33 years.
He has since joined LandMark Dentistry in 2016 where he looks forward to providing general dentistry and proficiency in removable partials and dentures, restorative procedures, and taking the best care of an aging population.
Dr. Clark is a member of the North Carolina Dental Society and the American Dental Association. Dr. Clark and his wife of 33 years, Gail, have 3 adult children (2 sons and a daughter) who all live in the Charlotte area. He and Gail enjoy the peace and quiet of the Fair view community with their 2 dogs and myriad of exotic pets.
Dr. Alisha Huria
Matthews & Billingsley Office
Dr. Huria grew up in Cary, North Carolina and earned a BS degree in Chemistry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She graduated dental school as part of the inaugural class at East Carolina School of Dental Medicine and takes great pride in community service. She began volunteering early on in her career at local dental buses, missions of mercy dental clinics and even serving our veterans during her Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program at Bay Pines VA Healthcare System. During her time In dental school she served as a delegate on the American Student Dental Association and continues to be a tripartite member of the North Carolina Dental Society, American Dental organization, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Huria met her husband in dental school (dentist couple!) and in their free time they love to travel, eat and support the Carolina Panthers!
Dr. Brittany Lawson
The Mallard Creek Office
Dr. Brittany Lawson received her undergraduate B.S. degree in Exercise Science from Rutgers University in 2010. After spending a year working for an animal hospital and coaching a competitive girl’s soccer team, she went on to continue her education and obtain her Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) from Rutgers University in 2015. During her tenure at dental school, her role as a student leader in the start of an inter-professional education family practice program allowed medical and dental students to educate one another on various clinical cases. These clinical cases allowed cross training of fellow professionals and screening within the community of Newark, NJ. She was also an active member of Rutger’s Gamma Pi Delta Honor Society, the American Association of Women Dentists and participated in Give Kids a Smile. During her senior year she was presented with the Brian D.Stone Memorial Award, which recognizes dental students committed to volunteering and helping those with special needs. She then went on to complete her General Practice Residency training at East Carolina School of Dental Medicine in Greenville, North Carolina in 2016. During her residency program, Dr. Lawson was involved in various community outreach programs including: Gives Kids a Smile, Colgate dental screening bus, Baptist mission buses and community oral cancer screenings.
As a passionate, engaging and caring dentist she provides a wide range of services to a diverse population of people. She is patient focused, with an emphasis on current and preventative health and has an eye for esthetics.
Aside from dentistry, she also has a passion for staying active and living a healthy lifestyle. Although she does not have any children, Dr. Lawson enjoys spending time with her three “fur babies”, a senior cat named Oliver, a rescue golden retriever mix named Tuck and her two year-old york-poo, Paisely. She’s also actively involved in the York County Humane Society where she walks rescue dogs on her days off. Her hobbies include: Fly wheel, Cyclebar, soccer, weight training, hiking, running, paddle boarding, swimming and spending time with her family.
