About Dr. Nick Yocum
Dr. Nick Yocum serves our Mallard Creek community. He is personable, knowledgeable, and cares deeply about his patients and their overall well-being. Dr. Yocum was born and raised in Greensboro, NC. He met his wife in dental school.
- Attended UNC-Wilmington for undergrad where he earned a BS degree in Biology
- He is a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill Dental School

Where can we find you around town?
Favorite restaurant is Freemore tavern (best wings I’ve had in Charlotte). Favorite brewery is Suffolk Punch -good food and drinks.
Where could we find you on the weekend or in your free time?
Restaurant, brewery, gym, Costco, at home
Do you have any pets?
2 ragdolls. Minnie (female) and Tucker (male). Not a cat person until we got them. Cutest cats you’ll ever meet with temperament of dogs
Do you love to travel?
Yes, I’ve been to quite a few places but most recently Switzerland and Italy. Going to France and maybe Germany in Sept for a wedding/vacation. My #1 wish is to go to Tokyo and/or South Korea (love Japanese and Korean food).
Who inspired your career path the most?
My orthodontist when I was in high school
Do you have any hobbies or interests?
Basketball, collecting rare minerals (ideally from places I’ve been), movies and tv shows. Most importantly just hanging out with friends
